Hello! We're continuing development on this game at Flashcard Dungeon! This is so that the jam version of the game can stay up in perpetuity, but we we can also continue to work on the game. :)

----

Flashcard Dungeon is intended to be a fun way to reinforce learning languages. Pick a difficulty, your preferred interface language, and the two languages for which you want to see flashcards, and enter the dungeon!

Supported languages:

  • English
  • Spanish
  • French
  • German
  • Dutch
  • Catalan
  • Haitian Creole

Music, programming, and design by Benjamin Nolan (TwoWholeWorms).

Pixellari font graciously provided by Zacchary Dempsey-Plante.

Art assets are mostly from the Humble 2D Game Dev bundle.

----

Known issues:

  • Button text is waaaaaay too big in full-screen mode.
  • Back to Menu button text doesn't translate.
  • A blank button occasionally appears in the flashcards.

Interesting! I can see this being a really good learning game if you put some more time into making the UI fit with the little dungeon game. :)

This is one I'm gonna take forth, heh. I'm so happy with how it works right now, and I'm also really pleased with the music, even if it's slightly out-of-kilter with the theme. xD

Just dropped in a big update if you wanna have another look. :)

ooh! Yeah, I like the new update. I like how it shows the health over the enemy (was that from the update?) If you want to add a Latin translation, I can help with that :)

hoc ludum est bona

(this game is good, in Latin)

Ad optionem latinam esset bonum. ^^

Yeah, the hearts went in with this update. :) They make a massive difference to the feel of the gameplay.

Am continuing development here if you're interested. :)
